Many of you have asked how you can help the school as the state budget crisis impacts our financial situation in ESUSD. Here are a few simple ways:

·         “Please educate yourself on California’s Special Election on May 19. There are 6 propositions on the ballot. Some of these directly impact public education.”

  • Make sure your child shows up for school, even if it’s just to check in for a short time. The district loses money when your child doesn’t attend! Just a slight increase in overall district attendance can make a difference of over $100,000 to the district.

·         If your child must miss school, especially if it’s for vacation purposes, please consider reimbursing the school district for $33 for each missed school day.

·         Buy school lunches and breakfasts.

·         Apply for free and reduced meals if necessary.

·         Support the Run for Education on March 28!
